shield-checkBasic Roleplay Rules

1

Griefing

Griefing refers to deliberately annoying, provoking, or harassing another player. Example: Repeatedly following someone to force them into an unwanted RP situation.

2

Value of Life

You must behave as though your character’s life and the lives of others truly matters.

3

PD Baiting

  • Purposely PITing police units, burning out, or issuing false complaints to lure officers out of PD including for kidnapping attempts is not allowed.

  • Crimes committed only to divert police resources from another situation are strictly prohibited.

4

Suppressive Fire

Before aiming to injure someone, both parties must start with suppressive fire. This gives others a fair chance to find cover and react before the situation escalates.

5

Exploits & Glitching

Using bugs, game glitches, or unintended mechanics to your advantage is forbidden.

6

Metagaming

Do not use any OOC information in-character. Only act on details that your character learned through RP. You may not use inventory menus or Steam names to identify players.

7

Powergaming

Powergaming is the process of gaining an advantage in a RP scenario, either by using in-game mechanics or RP to give the other players involved no opportunity to interact or defend themselves. It gives the other people involved in RP no option but to lose.

8

Hospital/Revive Abuse

Do not sprint or fight immediately after being revived or leaving the hospital.

9

Downed/Unconscious Behavior

If your character is unconscious or severely injured, you cannot talk, plan, or coordinate with others.

10

/me Usage

Use /me to show actions others should clearly notice. Example: /me hands the pistol to the man beside him.

11

Hiding Weapons

You may not stash or transfer your weapon during a chase unless the action is clearly communicated through /me or spoken RP.

12

Logging Out During RP

If you need to log off in the middle of active roleplay, everyone involved must approve it. After committing a crime, you must stay in the city for at least 10 minutes before disconnecting.

13

RP Ownership

Players who start a roleplay scenario must guide it without dragging in unrelated people. Bringing random players into a situation they were not part of is FailRP.

14

RDM (Random Deathmatch)

Killing or attacking another player without proper RP or reason is not allowed.

15

VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch)

Do not intentionally ram other vehicles or run over players without RP or verbal communication. If you hit someone by accident, you must stop and apologize.

16

New Life Rule (NLR)

When you respawn at the hospital, your character forgets all events leading to their death. You may not reference or act on memories of the previous situation. NLR does not apply if EMS revive you on scene or another player who was there allows you to remember. Even with permission, regaining memory must take at least 24 hours to avoid revenge-driven RP. You cannot intentionally die to dodge charges. Police may still arrest you for crimes committed before death.

17

Combat Logging

Disconnecting during a pursuit, shooting, arrest, medical scene, or any active RP to avoid consequences is prohibited. Leaving the server to escape any form of RP is not allowed unless an admin gives permission.

18

Fear RP

You must show realistic fear in situations that threaten your life. High-speed chases, dangerous stunts, or police confrontation must be treated seriously. Being in an armored vehicle does not excuse you from valuing your character’s life. Do not perform bold crimes in front of police unless your character would realistically do so. Higher fear is expected when in custody or at the PD; lower fear is acceptable in your own gang area.

19

Unrealistic RP

Actions that break immersion or feel unrealistic are considered Non-RP. Stay in-character at all times unless an admin instructs otherwise. If you crash, report it immediately and contact involved players to continue RP. Do not start scenarios you cannot finish (e.g., starting a robbery just before a restart).

20

Give & Take RP

Good RP relies on contribution from everyone involved. Be open to giving up advantages to make the RP better. Accept losses gracefully and use them to grow your character’s story.

21

Pocket Wiping

Only take items that logically make sense for the scene (e.g., valuables). Looting everything on a player is considered griefing and is not allowed.
